86/AW11 4AGE ECU for 2TGE?

Just curious, I was reading the the early 4age ecu's wire up nicely to the 2tge is this true?
Does it work well??

Fuel System: The best performance can be achieved by using Fuel Injection over the carburetors. The standard Toyota ECUs are in short supply, but the most reliable set-up. For the EGU engines- the early 4AG Corolla GTS and MR2 computers can be used, since they operate within the same rpm range.

Surely the 2T would need the swapping of all sensors etc. to feed all the proper 4AGE signals to the ECU.

It also assumes both engines have identical VE characteristics.

IRHO, Good carbs, good tune and electronic ignition OR basic aftermarket programmable EFI would whallop it every time...

Hey honestly I just was curious, could be a cheap upgrade for the 2TG boys...Foamy whats it out of?

Came out of a AE82 corolla. I have no idea if it was a bigport or smallport....make an offer and it's yours!

Just curious whats the difference between the AE86 and mk1 MR2 4age ECU's (afm) vs. say just a ae92 4age ECU (map)?
I know they are both AFM not map but other than that, why are they so special??
