Default Problem with rebuild Dellorto DHLA

    Hi there.

After recieving my intakemanifold from Rodger (user here at toymods, nice guy) i started rebuilding my dellortos.

As you can see on the pictures attached, i am almost finished. But i have got a problem. Due to someone (me ) not paying attention, i have lost two special screws. I have no clue to what they adjust, but they look pretty important

I have an original diagram of a DHLA40 but these two holes are not in the picture, and therefore i cant find the partnumber....

I have marked the holes i am referring to on one of the pictures....

    Please help me

Looks nice, but something is missing

I have no clue what these two screws adjust, but it is the one to the left i am missing.

But overall i am happy with the result:

Dont mind the cloth on the table....GF thinks its pretty

    Thanks for the compliment.

I like the set up, the carbs are coming up nice. The balance bar should polish up with some brass cleaner. I also meant to mention that the ports on the manifold I could not measure what thread they have been made to, so it might be worth drilling and installing some 1/4 BSP thread inserts then the pipe fittings off the old manifold can be transfered across or plugs used.

Not reknowned for my Dellorto knowledge I'll ask some questions.

Do those vertical holes come out somewhere in the main barrels?

It is hard to see in the pictures but I see a need for at least three and does one have a screw in it already? Is it one of the pictured one?

Some later Weber DCOE have Air Bleed Screws, used to fine tune the initial balance/vacuum between throttle bores across the carb. The ones you have may do the same thing on the DHLA. If they adjust a port connecting between the front of the carb and beyond the throttle plate then this is one of those Air Bleed screws. The Mikunis and Solexes do not have this feature.

    Regards

    Rodger

If you can't find any replacements and have at least one screw to work off, I could make a couple for you on the lathe at work (as long as you're not in a hurry).

So if you have no joy finding any, get in touch and we'll work something out.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

they look great! - did you do the rebuild yourself? was it easy? i've got a pair of the same carbys and am half considering a rebuild, but will have to do a bit of research before going ahead. (must say however i've never seen myne in working, nor have i ever rebuilt a carby before...)

i've come accross this one: http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/Dello..._Info_W168.cfm
and am looking forward to using the information on it myself!!!
otherwise, i would suggest asking the guys at dellorto.co.uk, i've bought after conversations with them and they were very helpful. likely they will have the part, and probably know what it does. good luck.
