Sure Porn probably infers that your aren't gay, but should it really be used as an actively acknowledged defense mate? ;-)

    bahahahh

to give him credit, he has a good looking girlfriend, and i wasnt implying that he was actually gay at all.

just referring to the impression i get from viewing the hue of his cars paint.

Cash? This thing runs a $900 TD06 on a standard manifold, internal gate welded shut with a tial copy e-bay special, $300, GTR injectors and a $1000 EMS Stinger. That's a cheap 360rwhp if you ask me...

like Mr 1JZ said, the rb25 is compared to the 1J (and 1J eats it) and the 26 is compared to the 2J (and 2J eats it)

I like accurate info such as the "5psi boost by 2900rpm" from jampac.[gt3076]

long ago i was advised by Ray Hall that the 3076 would spool 1000rpm earlier than gt30r [3040] on a 1j but having heard of many talking up gt35's i thought gt30r was small enough.Cudos go to Ray as i talked to many people and he was the only person to suggest the smaller turbo which i now believe is the right choice for my needs.

It is true that gt30r will make 300rwkw and the 3076 is possibly near its ceiling at 270rwkw
but the fact that you have the power much earlier and therefore for a much larger percentage of your rev range makes it hugely more streetable if not quite as fast at the drags.

for most of us the bragging rights of the quick 400m time slip is way less valuable than ready power around 3000rpm which is right where you are when cruising down the freeway.

I have just fitted gt30r and positive boost kicks in strong around 4000rpm on 1j.

for further comparison value 1jz racing said his GT35R made 200rwkw at 4500rpm with plenty of torque [on the way to higher power at higher revs of course]

Its very much a matter of the bigger the turbo the higher the power, the later in the rev range which means a narrower power spread.Less streetable, harder on drive train, etc etc

power claims on larger turbos and where the boost kicks in seem very open to interpretation.........

I think you are right pete.

Some people will use the figure that it makes 0psi at, some will say 10psi, full boost? what is full boost? Very subjective.

That is why I just get data from the datalog as it is all there and 100% CORRECT

Its a bit like the chronic gamblers who only report their wins, never the daily losses......

Thats why circuit racing you use to good sized twin turbo's
