ok from what i've read the problem lies with my modded cable.

need a genuine cable and a laptop with a serial port... do not have either of those *sigh*

ok i've managed to re apply the update.

the cable was just abit shoddy, cut it up and re soldered the wires and works fine now

and the Emanage Injector ground wire goes to Toyota ECU terminal #E

I've wired up 5 1jzgte's with emanage blues like this and they've all worked.
i'm gonig to try wiring it like this again now that I have the support tool working

just noticed you said you wired 5 EMB's this way.

Perhaps one of the injector drivers has gone Short Circuit?

there is a little injector test light available.
you plug it into your inj plug and it light up when it fires.
repco has them. they sell it in a pack of 2 or more i think. each having different pins for different cars types.

ok I had a strange idea today and it seems it worked.

I plugged in my ECU without the EMB let the car warm up turned it off.
Plugged the EMB in and now it is fine.

Am I supposed to program something in for cold start? I thought it would use everything from the stock ECU if I don't make adjustments.

don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. hope the problem isn't intermittent.
