i dunno about tee-kay tests anymore...... did one on the 7m a couple yrs ago when i suspected a BHG and it came up negative -sure enough i spent the next saturday pulling the head off
TeeKay is a clear tube, yellow ends with blue liquid.
Are you going to get a new one or flush it yourself?

Never late in an x8
On a 7mge all you have to do is look for the bubbles or froth blowing out of the radiator filler. Also, sometimes when the gasket is just going you can hear the bubbles circulate through the interior heater core at start up.
Well today I put a brand new radiator and thermostat in my car and went for a drive around the block a few times. The car seemed to be running smooth and the temperature stayed in the middle of the gauge. After I let the engine cool down a bit I took the radiator cap off and saw like a small amount of white oily foam.
Strait away you would suspect bhg but considering that the oil is perfect and there is no steam coming out of the exhaust and the car doesn’t seem to be losing any water is this possible?
I am thinking about chucking some chemiweld in there just incase it is a very minor bhg but I’m worried about it filling my new radiator up with gunk.
I am going to start to replace the head gasket this weekend. The current one only lasted 85K km.
In your case keep driving and carry plenty of bottles of water. The froth could just be all the air working its way through although I've found you have to drive them for a while before the steam comes out of the radiator cap, not the exhaust.
You wouldn’t believe it but it turns out that the brand new radiator that I bought is leaking transmission fluid into the water now I have to send it back and get another one![]()
