Kinda make sense, and kinda works towards what I was thinking.

However, I'm figuring, that in the 'wasted' scenario, I'll have one injector firing into the intake stroke (be it open valve or closed valve, it's irrelevant at this point) and another injector firing into the power stroke with SPECIFICALLY closed valves.

So I would have thought the fuel going in to the cylinder on the power stroke (IE the wasted cylinder) is actually wasted?

    Other than Cooling I guess.
None the less, I guess there's another question of, do I actually have the concept right for this ECU and injection.

I know that this concept, IE knowing Engine RPM and the fact that the engine is going around (IE 1 home per rev) works for wasted spark.

I was just extending the idea to semi-sequential injection...

well, is nto wasted as such.. is still there. might turn more into vapour in the 5 or 10 milliseconds befroe the second squirt comes in.
it will still go into cylinder and burn, just with different droplet size, or as gas.

fwiw i found best idle with 4K and megasquirt, using waste spark arrangement for fuel and 2 squirts per cycle... no noticable diffeence between 2 and 4 squirts per cycle, but rougher with a single squirt per cycle.
injection timing wasnot phased to any particular crank position. (was triggered by spark)

Wow, now you've confused me.. :-) But I'll settle back here for a tick and see if it becomes any clearer.

Doesn't really look like it matters too much no matter what the order...
