They dont last very long and are noisey.
What about a vl coomodore lift pump as they run an external pump
Its not a ticking noise. Its more of a rattle.
I.e. Like a slide hammer going a million miles an hour. (Slight exageration but its louder than my engine even though its rubber mounted)
i agree with the other doods, if the magna fuel pump can flow enough fuel for the engine id leave it as is. (assuming the fuel return goes to the surge tank also)

Just get a VL pump, cheap as chips and really common.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.
my problem is I can't be fucked fooling around to try and get the magna fuel pump to be 'in tank'.
It's a case of - do I spend money getting the thing 'in tank' or do I simply spend roughly the same amount for an out of tank pump?
Thinking maybe VL is the way to go now. Or VN v8 like Ian said
oh sorry dood. i misunderstood.
I thought you meant the magna pump was already mounted in the tank.
i'd just get an external pump.

That's cool mate.
I got my eyes on a VL pump right now.
For under $50. :-)
Vl pump is the way to go, cheap as chips, picked one up from a wreckers for $15 bucks
and just for reference there is no difference between a vl turbo pump or a normal vl pump, just a blue stripe and price tagwho ever new racing stripes on a fuel pump made it better lol

vl external pumps are no good as they also need an internal pump to feed it.
fuelmiser part number fpe-135 is a good choice from the datsun 720's and mazda capella's as they are an external lift pump to suit carby's but will be fine for a lift pump.
