wouldnt it be easier to relocate the dizzy to drive off the front of the motor like ive seen the japs do a lot of the time..

i no you can get an electronic sequence switch but im not sure how it would know when to switch which channel.. as in it wouldnt be getting a tdc 1 reference

basically no, I have done it and there are some machining issues with it

For IGf this thread may help.

Given what you have said I can only assume that you want to 'gate' off the injector pulse signal....

I did build and had working in individual sections what your trying to do a few years ago in anticipation of my 3sgte having spark issues as I wound the boost up, but I never put it on the car as it never ran into ignition dramas with the dizzy..

The only way I can see it working properly involves a far bit of electronics, which I can probably help with if a number of people would need it.

If you are planning on using the injector pulse to sync up the coils keep in mind it may become unusable at 100% injector duty cycle, during decell cutoff down hills, during cranking and transient throttle when most ecus group fire. The only decent sync pulse I know of comes from the CAS and being reluctor will need some electronics to get the signal to a reliable trigger.

Commercial style ignitors would be your best bet. They are basically just a transistor which is ok by itself (ie RB30's use just a transistor) but proper ignitors or ignition drivers have other bits added like current limiting and are designed to handle the spike at turn off better which can't just be suppressed using a diode as its this spike which is induced into the secondary winding of the coil to actually make the high voltage for the spark plug

Sounds like a project that needs a really small microcontroller

Once you pickup the sequence as long as you keep track of the spark and don't miss a pulse then the injector signal is just a backup

    My thoughts.
