Dear Toymodders
I have a big axle Kouki disc brake rear end with a TRD 2 way with 4.3 gears
last month at eastern creek, i broke 4 teeth off the pinion!!!

Uncle Josh (MR2Drift) told me to go fetch a RA40 or RA60 centre and nose cone(with pinion) so i can transfer the 4.1's onto my LSD centre...

I got an RA40 diff and nothing bolts in except the ring gear.
The pinion shaft (input shaft) is longer
The bearing is different (OD)
The actual RA40 Housing has 10bolts, but the bearing carriers are different (bigger diameter)

Therefore i call upon the wisdom and experience of the Toymodding community to impart this mechanical knowledge on my sad situation.

Question: Can i buy a new 4.3 ratio pinion? (my ringgear is not damaged)
Question: Can i use my 2way in a Aussy (be it ra60, t18 etc) nose cone

I belive that the pinion and crown are only sold as a matching pair.

- Dont think so unless u find someone with a damaged ringgear that will sell u the pinion gear.

- From what ive heard yes, ull need to run your LSD and axles and associated bearings etc in the new housing, but i think ive heard of someone doing that. But i think you wouls be better off keeping the kouki housing and getting a new crown/pinoin gear.

I have a friend who has now damaged a 4.1 and 4.3, in not sure which parts of either, so ill ask and maby he will have a 4.3 pinoin in decent condition if your really lucky.
