i think its around 150psi? yeah cheapo will do, get one that screws in tho not the ones with the rubber dick u just hold down.
also make sure your batteries good for all that cranking.
Hey what compression values should I get when testing a 7MGTE? Anyone know where I can buy a cheap compression tester? eg. supercheap? will they work well enough.

I got 195 psi, I cranked each cylinder about 7 times, is this too much or is there such a thing as too much?
While it does seem high but theres no saying how accurate the gauge is.
Whats important is that all cylinders read approximately the same when using the same gauge.

The gauge was borrowed from a Mechanics workshop, should have asked him how to use it I guess. Borrowed from a friend's friend.
All were basically the same, one was about 190 so all good.
seems high but a cold test will usually give a higher reading too,
