Had a great time, and I was only spectating! Highlight for me had to be the GT8 in action pulling down the same times as the 2 porsches and the STI. I'll be there in my POS next time though..... stupid clutch

Hey, was a great day! Unfortuantely I only could get 15 laps in before the inlet manifold developed a few cracks in it. The best I managed was a 1.15.3 lap. So decided to call it quits then, wanted to keep it together as possible for the trip home.

Was great to see the GT8 out there which is just an engineering masterpiece.

So for me back to the drawing board with my inlet manifold and see what I can do to strengthen the design more so it can survive a full day at Wakefield.

Looking forward to seeing some photos!

    Cheers

had a blast down at the track guys first time down shame my turbo shit itself in the morning thanks to ryan for helping me replace on turbo thanks to garth and all the guys who helped me out. Hope to be back down there in the next few months and run again. My best time was 1.20.85 not bad for first time down there and only did about 15laps.

Well, another awesome day was had down there, i cannot get enough of it! Was great to see a big toymods crew put in a showing too, in particular a certain tt v8 red beasty impressed a lot of people, and put down some damn impressive lap times too!

As usual joel's 28 looked the goods, and ran well, just a shame to see it retired a little early. The day it runs hard all day isn't far off mate.

Ed's supra held its own, despite its 'stock'ness, i reckon it'll get down around the 1:10-1:11s with what's in store for it, how's that for a challenge Ed? Shall we say late this year?

Dan, it was a bit of a shame to see the corolla throw in the towel so early, i just remembered now to send you that info on oil coolers, i'll do it in a sec.

I was a little disappointed in the times my corolla ran, but i did no more than 3 laps without a passenger, and the new tyres were not really expected to hold up to the standard set by the old ones anyway. It was good to see it run consistently all day though, it has never missed a beat. No matter how hard i punish it, it just keeps coming back for more with only the occasional 'top-up' of oil...

I have a feeling the next one isn't too far off I'll let you all know as soon as i have all the details

mate, ive already sorted a spare set of wheels and some slicks...

brakes are in the pipeline for the next 2 months

LSD is sitting on teh workshop floor

i reckon without an engine change, this should get me into the high 1:14s
(that along with learning to drive)

    give me 2 months

hell yeah i'm mad keen for another run. Next time i can run the tyres the right way around with the fats on the rear instead of the front.....should improve handling and traction as the 230's i had on the rear were still struggling a little and the 250's would have done a better job. And pads, my ride in the STI showed i definitely need a better brake pad as a minimum before the next outing.

I can hear WSID calling as well ;-)
