308 on gas won't start in the morning

what sort of air fitler is he running - gas doesnt like k&n filters

The fact that it did start on gas I find remarkable, with my experience with gas It wont run at all until there is some heat in the engine. Not running on petrol, at least once a week, is probably not a good idea either for the engine, gas has no lubricant in it.

i reckon it wouldn't hurt to look for vacuum leaks. is it an impco system or similar ? did it start to do this all of a sudden ?

my straight gas mx83 started fine cold

i think there was only 1 time it did not start which was caused by a variety of issues

really need some info on the gas system and whether or not it has a primer before can go much further.

i like the hot water service idea ian -when i was at the snow in my cressy last year i took a couple of those disposable heat pack things with me in case the converter froze over
