the OST crew were great, was good seeing you guys, and gals and the display looked the good, however motorvation itself was shit, and i feel like i wasted my $27.

i rocked up late, but i guess it just wasnt my scene, with the jap cars being rather limited in numbers :/

Yes Dean - there will be plenty of pics from my camera posted up on the official website.. I haven't even had a chance to look at them as yet

... I'd like to extend a thanks to everyone for coming down. Thanks to all that helped set up and pack up. And thanks to everyone who was well behaved - cos afterall, we are representing the club, and we don't want potential members scared off by yahoo behaviour.. (or perhaps mistake us for commodore drivers! )

Time to get preparing for Motorvation 2007 -- everyone now has about 12 months to get their cars in order - hopefully that will be enough time! hehehe

    cheers

ps. Eldar - i think Saturday would have been a better day for you to come down and check out the action.. and it wasn't that exciting for you cos you didn't get a ride in the OST "Crazy Cruiser" (which we won an award for).!!

How was that Mercedes though? Honestly, that thing stole the show for me. I got to see a video a mate took of his entry into the burnout comp on sat night... I've never seen such a spectacular site.

Yeeehaaa, finally got my registration for the new Toymods forum activated!

So, I can finally post something.

I enjoyed taking SPIDA down to Motorvation and helping fly the OST flag. It was great fun, and next time I think I'll be ready to enter a driving event or two - forget the burn-out comp though (I care for my car too much).

Thanks Damo and all the people who put in the hard yards to organise things, well done.

Look forward to seeing the rest of the photos, and I'll post mine when I get time too. Love to find out if SPIDA appears anywhere on the Motorvation 06 DVD. So, if anyone who gets a copy sees the Red Celica, let me know - I might have to get a copy.

Believe it or not, it was my first real dry road burn-out in SPIDA, which was fun. Not one to do a lot on the roads

    Hi guys,

Had a great time over the weekend, and next year I might need to enter SPIDA into a driving event or 2.

Thanks for organising a great OST event.

Here's my pics taken over the weekend as a slideshow. You can stop it and manually browse the pics too if you like.

Damo, if i wasnt off in the middle of the ocean deep-sea fishing, i still wouldnt have been there, i wouldve gone picked up my engine, broke my way into the bling garage, and into the supra, towed it to the bling garage somehow, and put my new engine in!

I assure you, it wouldve been possible

oh yeah.. next year - more cars entered with the OST crew and more people in the driving events..
the more we participate - the more 'club points' we get, and hence we may be in the running to take the Club Champion award.
and as Adam has said - its a lot of fun giving your car a run and competing against others.

and next year i hope to enter the OST cruiser in the burnouts! .. will depend on the availabilty of a new motor - and provided the car doesn't snap in half!

we should get kimono's for the girls (lauren and gene's missus, and any others that turn up) and those martial art style uniforms for the fellas(with OST and japanese writing on the back). Throwing rice would be so funny. I know how to make sushi pretty well, either that or my old boss own's 2 sushi bento restraunts I could buy a whole heap of it from him. He's got a sushi making machine. takes like 10 seconds to make a a full roll cut up as well.

When's the next event (auto salon, drag wars, etc etc)??? Gotta start getting organised if it's within 6 months....

Damo I got a 3sfe that needs rebuild and gearbox slap on a small turbo and flog the shit out of it. as there is hardly any weight in the back it should do something at least.
