*bumpy* *help!!!*
I've been looking into aftermarket managment lately, and there's a few options, but one thing I have found is a plug-and-play PowerFC to suit a 4A-GE. Are the looms and wiring between the two motors similar enough that you can use one on the GZE? Or can I swap a GE loom onto my GZE. From all the looking I've done, it seems that the GE and GZE plugs are the same. If someone's got a pic of a bigport NA ecu, I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers, RM.

the GE and GZE ecu and wiring is not the same, plugs included.
Well, that fixes that idea for a start. Any idea if the looms are interchangable?
RM.
not only that there is a relay that controls the supercharger you need to be able to turn the relay on and off at different load/tps points
Yeah, I think the ECU comes with a few programmable outputs I can use for that, so that's OK. Is there anything else?
RM.
- Idle control valve.
- Control outputs for the VSV (not that they really matter too much)
- CAS and coils rather than dizzy.
I think they would put the idea to rest. Unless the things are very conifurable I doubt they'd cope with the last one. The other two may just make things not as nice.
Just remembered: unless of course you run an early, dizzy ZE.

I think the biggest problem will be the ICV as on the GZE's i think they are stepper motors, or u could just remove it
I suggest getting pinouts off the internet for the 4age its intended for and ur engine and comparing

Yeah, after looking into it a bit more I've kinda given up on the idea, if it was that easy Apexi would market one for a GZE.
Thanks for the help guys, as always.

Having a think about it im not sure the GZE ICV is even a steper motor, it might have a PWM signal or something. Ill find out soon when i wire up the plug in harness for my megasquirt![]()
Ahhh...you sound like a guy I need to talk toI'm going to have a stab at wiring in my own ECU (most likely a EMS Stinger), if you're making harnesses, there might be some $$ to make a couple
But really, what I'm really keen on is how it's done, what's important, what isn't, that kind of thing...
RM.
well im only just on the drawing board at the moment, this weekend ill prolly start putting a plan together, as ill need to make up some custom bits for the megasquirt first.
Im also gonna try to get some AFR vs MAP vs RPM logs with the stock ECU on the weekend with my wideband controller to see what the ECU does for each load point etc
There are better blokes to talk to on the subject thoughim only learning
