id be very interested in the same if it is
As the title states, need to know this.
Have researched but couldnt find a definate answer, cheers.
Will this centre complete...
4x114.3 N/A Ventilated disc, 1 piston calipers
Semi trailing arm IRS F313: 7.5", 3.90:1, 2 pinions, Clutch LSD
...go into this diff
4x114.3 N/A Ventilated disc, 1 piston calipers
Tarago YR22 Solid Axle (leaf) F282: 7.5", 4.30:1, 2 pinions, Open
is this for your rona?
id be very interested in the same if it is
Yeah for the RT142, BW diffs are a joke.
the centre and gears swap straight in from IRS to Live but if your going the other way make sure the centre has circlip grooves otherwise the half shafts can fall out.
Cheers

R.I.P Peter Brock.
please post up how you doe the conversion konakid
as i too hate the BW stuff and will most likely copy you
Thanks for the info guys, big help.
Ecko, im getting a mate to make a jig to swap the BW mounts over to the f series for me, not cheap, will probably need a new tailshaft and have to do something to sort out the handbrake too.
yeah i thought as such.
maybe a rt142 avante tailshaft? they are the irs ones so they have toyota ends?
For tailshaft you'll want the rear section of an '86 rt142 (the irs one) or any ma61 or an ra65. They are an irs f series, but the irs's have the same centre of the axle to tailshaft mounting flange measurement as the live axle f series = bolt up

You sir are a fucking champion.
Now to sort the handbrake issue out.
The tarago F series is internal handbrake or no?
Being drum standard it will be internal handbrake. If I were you I would be pissing the drums off by grabbing the rear disks off a live axle st141 (I beleive they were standard on CS-Xs, but they may have been an option on the lower grades). They will bolt up to the tarago diff and if you grab the handbrake cables as well will go straight in, giving you a 280mm rotor. Just a note you need to grab the axle bearing retainer plates from the st141 as they have a spacer that you need to make it all work on the f series.
If you guys do the above brake mods, you will find the disc rear is only on the Avante model of the ST141 from what I have seen. I also found that the diff end flange on my YR22 tarago diff and the Corona brakes were not the same. The F series YR22 Tarago diff flange was larger therefore meaning the brake would not go on without making a custom adaptor in which case you would just make a better one for bigger brakes. Im doing it for R33 GTS-T twin spot rears with 297(?)mm ventilated discs.

if you do the disc brake upgrade as mentioned above you might have to move your shock absorber mounts in towards the centre to clear the caliper![]()
beer me!
you won't need to move the shock mount for this, that's only for the narrower (ta22, ra28) diffs I beleive.

i had to move them on my mark 2. I haven't seen where they are on his car so dunno, thought i'd mention it before they get welded in case they do foul
beer me!
