nice info, im goin to have to try this out
Well most MK3 Supras, z30 soarers had the paddle for the cruise control so no need to put another wheel on.
nice info, im goin to have to try this out

subscribed cos i can never find this thread when i need it
There is no substitute for PUBIC inches
Never late in an x8
confirmend that this will work on jza80 with TPS controlled line pressure, when the power is disconnected from gearbox it runs full line pressure, and you can just wire up the same as this thread
Hi All,
I'm running A340e from aristo & plan to manual shift with Haltech PS2000 for engine. With the above diagram can we get full line presure?.
If yes, I plan to control the presure reduction solenoid via haltech with PWM output.
Sorry for the thread dig but I need to sort this out for my trans in my jzx100.
I currently have what I have been told is a spragless mv autos a340 out of a jzx90.
I need to shift the box without the factory ecu because the loom is no longer in the car, I am running a ps2000 and need something for the auto, I'm also running a hurst promatic shifter and mv brackets
u just need power to sol a when in low
power to sol a and b when in second
and power to sol b when in drive
then turn power off to get overdrive
can be done for under 2 bucks if your tight as I try to use relays to do the triggering which costs abit more
u need to use the Toyota inhibitor wiring and 2 diodes
lock converter will not work and the line pressure will not work if your box has one
without the trans harness makes it abit harder as u have nothing to go by
I normally ask for the shift solenoid connector and the inhibitor connecter when I make these for people
I have the connectors and a little pigtail of wiring but that's all
If I hook all these from the neutral start switch it should be fine?
Is there any advantages to using a relay to do the triggering as opposed to not using one.
I have an mv shift box should I just use that? Only thing is I have heard of heaps of problems with these.
The box has a kick down cable so it is a three solenoid box.
the mv boxes get feedback when they are used in cars that have gear position indicators in the dash
if u have it maybe use it
but its so easy to make one I never need to buy the mv box that's couple hundred bucks
just find what the wires do that u have and hook them up without relays as its easier to understand
if u havnt made one before
the 3rd solenoid is the lockup converter so leave that off or u could hook it up to a switch
but u need to remember to turn it off most of the time so I just leave it off because most customers
will probably forget to turn it off and then burn out the converter
Sorry to dig but anyone have the pictures that no longer work?
This may help

Also, does this cause the shifts to be ultra firm all the time like a manual valve body?
ive got a tip tronic kit for the old a340 boxes if u want to buy one of them
manual shifting of these boxes wont firm up the shifts it will just make them a tiny bit faster
u need to mod the springs in the valve body to get firmer shifts
Ahh ok mate cheers. I’ll go the mv full manual valve body.
Thanks
