Default Is it possable to buy crimp connectors to suit loom plugs?

    Hi everyone

I'm looking to rewire my 4agze and i was wondering if it is possible to buy the pins/rubber seals to suit the plugs ready to crimp? They are a female style pin and most of the engine loom plugs use the same types. I will grab a picture shortly.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Im sure a source of these pins would be handy for all toymodders.

    cheers

    Daniel.

Yeah you can get them but the Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) are usually a bitch tho!

Try getting touch with Anthony from Kaizen Garage as he has them and should be able to help you out

    Yes it is.

    Minimum quanities are a PITA.

I took mine to a Tyco/AMP reseller in Perth and the matched them for me.

my brother works in the industry... if you only need a few, I could arrange postage to you?

but yes, otherwise it gets really expensive really quickly.

Especially if you include the cost of a good crimping tool (his cost over $400 )

for one of the crimps i got the minimum order was 200...not so bad.

the other crimp had a minimum order of 1000 though.

It depends on the popularity of the terminal.

    Just went back and checked.

The first three photos in my post above was used in the ecu connector (18RGEU) (Had a MOQ of 1000)

The last three was used in the injectors, afm, temp sensor, cold start injector and time switch, (Had a MOQ of 200)

The terminal was also the same in a 5M-E temp sensor, injectors etc.

I'd imagine it would be used in a number of engines of that era. (70's-80's)

Probably a good idea to get people to check and start a database or something.

Ok I used the images on the website posted by Cruzida and fired off to two known suppliers of the plugs. Now its a matter of seeing if/when they reply.

I dont mind organising a group buy if the MOQ is excessive, but probably best to use a different forum as toymods seems quite difficult to authorise this type of thing.
