    Default 3SGTE CT26 Front + Core into 7MGTE CT26 Rear housing

    As title says.

Is it possible, are they compatable ?

Im asking as my 7MGTE CT26 has blow oil seals, and im looking for a replacement. which is very hard to find for a non-spastic price. so im wanting to know if the 3SGTE CT26 front housing and core , will fit into the exhaust housing of my current 7MGTE Ct26

Does anyone know if its just a bolt up, and circlip up (if you will) process ???

    Cheers

Likely to be the case. I got a 7MGTE rear housing put onto my Caldina CT20b (the one with the integrated manifold and housing) by the turbo guys. They said there is a bit more clearance than stock between the housing and blades but it should be ok. I translate this to be a bit more laggier / less power but meh it'll do for a start.

The circlip should fit no worries as the locating pin is either in the front housing only or you can easily remove the rear pin and rotate the housing. You will need to see if the 3sgte CT26 compressor intake and wastegate actuator is in the same position as the 7mgte CT26 though.

I'd be looking at doing this as a cheap option where you don't mind too much if it is a bit worse than the stock turbo.

    -ZOOM- Issue 108
quote: "The easiest solution is to use a 7mgte rear housing which flows much better and can be adapted to the 3sgte manifold with about 30minutes of grinding. This upgrade usually yields about a 50hp increase over the stock turbo on a relatively standard motor, with the correct fuel mods."
