Default how easily should a car start after a recondition

    Heya all
    i have a ae82 twincam hatch.
Reconditioned my car and am a little worried, its not starting. The starter motor works fine as the engine is turning over fine, im wondering whether the fuel is getting to the cylinder easily enough.
ive tried starting it, 10 second periods about 5 times, how easily should it start, any tips are greatly appreciated.

yeah same here. i prime it first to get oil pressure. (at same time fuel pressure should have built up) then it starts up as usual.

might want to take a picture of the green connector thing to see if someone can tell you what it does.

I had a motorbike start when i was cranking it over to prime the oil pump, the tank wasn't even hooked it up, It was running on the fumes from the air filter soaked in fuel

    LOL.

I take the plugs out to do it, less stress on the starter and battery.

on my unmolested twinky the green connector is not connected to anything. it just happily sits there
    with your starting issue,
    first check that theres spark
    if sparks ok
    turn engine to tdc
    remove valve cover
there should be a dimple on the intake cam at the top near the cam gear
check the exhaust cam, if you see the dimple then the exhaust cam is 180deg out

A green plug may be temp sensor, or is it the one to the dizzy? just a thought.
grab a pic. i think size a shape on this, matters for identifying.
