mine had 18psi boost cut, dropped in a 7mge maf and went to 25psi no cut standard gen 3 ecu too.

I don't recommend it, but on the cheap you could fab up a y-pipe and dump, to suit whatever cheap turbo you can get. Tighten up the MAF a bit to get the AFR's spot on and hopefully help the fuel cut to allow decent boost (SPENT THE EXTRA $$$ AND DO THIS ON A DYNO THOUGH!!!).
Done on a good engine and with the right turbo and close to the magical 200rwkw would be possible. How long it will last will depend on how much thought you put into it.
Instead of playing with the AFM Spring, which modifies the fueling across the whole rev range, It's better to use something like an Apexi SAFC for about $150 to tune where it's needed.
But I've always wanted to know if any noticeable gains can be had from AFM adjusting, some people say yes some say no so a bit of experimenting on the dyno with it can be interesting.
just cause no ones said it yet, nnaawwzzz.
GA23(never finished-now with cracked block) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.
I was still pulling fuel out using my SAFC2 while running 16psi... Across mist the rev range... Added a little bit.. Like 15% near the top... AFR's stayed around 12... Without pulling fuel out it was bullshit rich...
As for benefits of the safc... Just allowed the power curve to be smoother and AFR's to remain reasonably steady... Not enough for major power gains but pre tune I made 248odd... Post tune it was making 276... But we also changed plugs coz the run it made 248 it was misfiring.. So it's hard to judge exact benefits and gains...

Depends on your engine I guess, I've heard good results with people who've used it with the 1g-gte. If you can afford a good piggyback like a Xede for example that is a good choice, but the SAFC isn't too bad if your after a bit more power.
