Juz strap a truck turbz to bottom of NA hedderz, Bunnings PVC intake pipez, extra injectaz (Bunnings sprinkler fittingz) inta throttle body, fed by Bunnings garden hoze leading to coke bottle strapped to A pillar that you juz squeeze when she cumz on boost.

And a sick blow off valvz, 6 guagez up A pillar (dont have to hook deez up, itz hrd az) 2 cannon zorzts, flat brim hat(z), heepz of stickaz and totes cool neonz like fast n fewrious...

In all seriousness though, go for broke, you can always put the exhaust manifold and turbo onto a GTE if/when it pops, (there are some cheap motors around these days) and have some fun with it. Fuelling is going to be the biggest concern, so put the most consideration into ecu, injectors and make sure that airfuel ratio is mickey mouse.

If you can find/use as many GTE bits as possible, you might get away with it for a reasonable cost, but factoring the cost of the silly little stuff (oil feeds and t pieces, injectors and FPR, ecu, turbo manifold, turbo, turbo inlet and exhaust, intercooler, blow off valve, catch can blah blah blah, its likely you will pay only slightly less than a GTE, except will be left dealing with an ongoing host of issues that will eventually lead to an inevitable head gasket failure, bent rod and/or major piston failure.
