i raised a similar observation once before... and just did a run around the site, nope, everything's the same, so points still stand. the 'club' needs more visibility on the site. sure, the forums order got swapped around, but its not backed up by content. the club offers no enrichment to the website aside from the logistics of hosting it, and thats one of the biggest differences between this site (and its underpinning club) and other clubs sites i reckon

I don't think Craig meant for his message to come across the way it did. To the outsider, these forums ARE the Club. Cruises and Events section aside, a lot of people still see Toymods as a forum-based club, and not as an actual Incorporation. Speaking of which, I just went to the homepage and noticed that Toymods doesn't have the "Inc.", wasn't Toymods incorporated before?
Agreed the homepage of Toymods.net needs revision. I spoke to a guy today that owns a VG40 Century (actually a couple of them), and I recommended he come on here and check it out, but I also forewarned him of the lag between application and forum membership, though I did tell him he can still see the forums.
Personally I believe that Toymods has more a 'community' feel to it rather than a 'club' feel. Most of our going's-on are done via the internet on this site, and not all people who visit these forums come from metro-Sydney, or even NSW. Club-Toymods exists with events, even though not everyone can get to them geographically, and through the once a month Monday meetings. The threads posted in the Cruises and Events section are from Toymods Forum (and Financial) members, and they're mostly abroad, but they're not always Club-sanctioned events. For example, Toymods won't run a sanctioned event in QLD, VIC, WA, SA, or even up here in regional NSW. I believe the issue of State incorporation was addressed in another thread I remember seeing a while back. We have 2 dyno days that I know of, ToyotaFest and probably a lot more stuff that goes on for people in the greater Sydney area. When you look at it from afar, it's like everyone in here is a member of another club which does stuff either locally or car-centrically sometimes more often than Toymods itself does.
Myself I miss Toymods cruises, when I lived in Sydney it was a bit of fun getting out and about with other like-minded fun-loving drivers of nice Toyota's. Since I moved away I've been to Toyota Nationals, ToyotaFest (twice), no dyno days for whatever reason - usually I can't get down there for it - and no cruises. I just don't have the time for it and can't justify the expense.I've been on one cruise with a lot of chaps from OzCelica in QLD, which was still 400km getting there and back (not including cruise distance), but most of the time I can't justify a 1500km round trip for a cruise that I otherwise would love to go on. A lot of people in different states feel the same way. Thus they go for the option of a smaller club that might be there for cruises and so on, but they're still a part of the larger Toymods community.
