Went to Precision yesterday and chatted to one of the workers, he said because it's a one off and they need to get a rack made it would be about 400 for the rack and then around 100 for the job. As long as I remove the original paint that is on top of the chrome. I'll try chrometech and others when i get the time. If it works out to be heaps cheaper I may have them vaccuum metalised. Or just buy a mint pair of original mirrors.

i ended up getting the plastic vents behind the rear 3/4 window done as i couldnt find a decent pair, from memory was around $400 they turned out really well, that was at the bronzing studio, which now seems to be called chromtech

that was quite a few years ago now and they still look the goods.

    You guys paid heaps!

I am getting the gauge cups for a motorcycle plated, the quote was about $170 including postage.

Perhaps things like pillar vents are dearer because they are harder to strip or prepare properly.

stalhz did you ever get a result with this. i have a couple of the old plastic badges off my ra23 i would like to get re-"chromed". polishing isn't any good as the chrome has worn off in a couple of spots and its bare plastic.

i might try the dashboard centre as they list it on their website.

I bought another pair of original mirrors with good chrome. Turns out the other ones I had already were not from a Sprinter anyway, more likely something like a crown. So long story short I woosed out on spending the bucks and worked out for the better as I got the right parts as a result.
