Both are Yamaha engines, the SHO was a modified Duratec V6 with Yamaha's input, the Volvo engine is all Yamaha (called B844S in Ovlov engine speak), and is built in Japan by Yamaha even though the only two cars it goes into are Volvos (XC90 and S80), and not related to the Taurus engine.
