How many volts on the battery when it dies? (After 20mins...)
What makes you think it is the battery / alternator?
The engine should run with just the alternator anyway (i.e. battery disconnected...)
Cheers

hello, ok s it reads ae92 dli afm alt, says 14.36v on roughly 2k rpm, after full charge of battery, 20min after driving it dies, oh and the charge light comes on on 'ig' and turns off when running, is this the batt or alt?????

not too sure how many volts when it dies usually happens when driving haha =( well im unsure my step dad reckons its alt, becuase on my wrx i used to be able to hear the slt whine alot when it was under load, but i cant hear a peep from this one. But im very confused still about the reading of 14.36v when running, however that being said, when the sc is engaged it drops to sometimes 10~11v...
Could be a loose connection.. check both your battery terminals as well as the +ve connection on the alternator. ~14v seems fine at idle. If your alternator is buggered it will be closer to 12v.
Don't know heaps about the gze, however if it's cutting out when the supercharger kicks in, it's possible your belt is slipping. Supercharger only increases belt pull. Check your alt belt anyhow for decent tension.
Alternator and supercharger are on separate belts on the GZE. I would check for loose terminals first (easy to do on the GZE, just jack it up and look underneath).
Could be an intermittently faulty regulator, that goes faulty when it get's hot, but you'll need a replacement to swap over to check if that's the case.
Your alternator brushes have all worn away and your alternator is not working anymore.
Take alternator to an auto elec have them replaced or do it yourself.
With a fully charged battery... driving with lights, fuel pump, sc clutch engaging etc etc... uses up all the batt power while it is not getting re-charged...
eventually it will drain so low that the electrical functions required to keep the engine going willl stop also.
Crazy dash lights are always a sign that the alternator is dead.

If the battery will hold a charge, it'll be able to run MUCH more then 20 min with a bad alt.
If the battery won't take any charge at all, it'll run until you're out of petrol or until the rpm's are dropped low enough, 600 or so, that the alt. isn't putting out enough current.
I think you've got another problem/s.

mmk cheers guys/girls, ok so i thought it was the alt due to spluttering etc under load, what happened issssss: water temp sensor on rear of head came unplugged... problem 1, then found the cas wire leaning on extractors, and like wise with the starter and batt wires haha =( fixed now, has been cruising good for about 20-30min.. no hesitation sc fully on hehe =) what temp range does a gze hav for optimum, mine is reading 60ohms on the graph in the bgb for the aw11 it says thats roughly 60-70* is this correct?
