    Default JZA70 & JZZ30 chassis

I was told by a local performance shop that a JZA70 and JZZ30 chassis are the same.
    Could anybody clarify this.
Reason being i'm getting a 1jz soarer halfcut and was hoping i might be able to use the crossmember in my GA70

    Thanks

Your local performance shop has got nothing.

JZA70 shares floorpan with *Z20 soarer, not *Z30.

Get a JZA70 halfcut for your ga70 and bolt the subframe into your car.

    He may have meant JZA80??
    JZA80 uses a shortened JZZ30 floorpan.

AFAIK A70 and Z20 are more than similar, they are near identical....

Rails are the same length and width, sill panels are the same, suspension is the same, front and rear subframe are the same as well, exhausts are not as the Z20 exhaust is about 120mm longer

a61 and z10 are similar too.

Cept the Z10's wheelbase is ~1" longer.

A chassis started in the late 60's? early 70's?
    Z chassis didn't start until 1981.
So they weren't built alongside each other.
