    Default help with A340e jza70

hey all, i got my motor running now and all thats left to do is get the bastard to move,

i havent started to do the auto wiring as i dont even know what plugs are for the auto

i did a search and it didnt cover what i needed so makign new thread

im also curious, if its not wired at all, has fluid, coverter is all hooked up properly and what not, if i put it in a gear (any gear) will it move the car? or does the auto need to be wired to pop thru gears? as ive tryed it and i dont get anyting at all, its weird so yeah

    help please

    cheers

It will move without the wiring, moving the shifter will put it into a gear but will not change gear automatically without wiring

It will shift, 1-3-4 as you go L-2-D. This is bad for your auto though.

Do you have an auto ecu? Should just be plugs there to plug in which go to the ecu. If you have a manual ecu you will need some sort of aftermarket controller like MV's or 131OWN on here makes.

That's good people are still using that guide

so you have an mz20 you are fitting a 1jz with a340e into from a jza70 supra then. If you got a halfcut, there shouldn't really be an issue with just plugging the auto plugs in and letting the ecu control it unless you really want it manualised. (This is obviously after the ecu is connected to the engine sensors and receiving power, ground etc )

well it wasnt a halfcut job so its been fucked to be honest

but yeah your correct with everything else, but i was under the impression that the auto had to be wired into the z20 body loom or something for the auto to work, apart from that everything else is wired up, i was only going the manual shift kitt to elemniate the need to wire it into the stock ecu or whatever

have any suggestions on what to check if im wrong with the needing to wire it in? and is all phisicly connected underneath so that should be no issue there

    thanks for the input too
