    Default mx83 cressida front end

Which one do you prefer. I have an 89 cressida which has a 2j and a stock 91 grande that im stripping parts off. Ive put the grande lights in and the grill. Just tossing up which front bar is better. I havent taken either bar off as yet to see how much room i have or dont have for the front mouth on the other bar but i could cut it away with little effort. another factor is the grande is white and my 89 is blue so i need to paint. will post pics when i get home.

Everyone is going to have their own opinon but the final decision will be up to you - keep both and swap when you want to or if you get some damage.

The only thing you will need to consider is that there are slight differences which need to be taken into account, whihc may make partial swaps incompatible. Things i know of is that the Series 2 (S2) model will have indicators in the guard and the Series 1 (S1) wont because they are in the parkers, so you will lose your side indicators if you only change the lights to S2 ones.

Of the two, i personally prefer the S2 front end and bumpers.

Put up a thread in the members rides section and puts some pics up, its always good to see more 2JZ Cressidas

Series2 for the win! The guards are different and may need to be modified to fit the different bumpers.

series 2 definately, the series 1 bumper bar looks wonky from factory.

use a s1 lip and s1 grill and bootlock for the original cressida logos.

s1 looks less hectic = excellent for sleepers

having had the option of both for mine, i found it easier (kinda) to hide the cooler with an s1. i tell people its a black intercooler and they dont believe me until i get down on my knees to show them

s2 looks better = good for a good lookin car

just even when coolers black, still kinda obvious its there. whether that matters to you or not

Need pics I am swapping my jzx81 front bar back to a cressi one. I have a s1 model so is there anything that needs changing if I fit a series 2? It is still using standard headlights but the front indicators were changed to LED ones.

Your grande Bar lamps leave more room for intercooler pipes. I found out the hard way coz my cooler pipes were made for S2 and wouldnt fit behind the S1 bar lamps.

My cooler is black and has been fitted to a s1 2 peice bar but as said its saggy and shit looking. I have changed the head lights over to series 2 but left the parkers series 1 which is the only difference in them anyway. I cant see why the series 2 bar would have different mounting points but i have not taken it off yet as i dont want a white bar on a blue car yet cuz i cant afford paint at the moment. Im saving for my single turbo conversion.

There should be no issues with you posting in the forum members ride section, you just wont be able to post (or view) in the club member section.

Here is where you want to be - click

PS - this wouldnt happen to be the one that was for sale in Hervey Bay?
