    Default A70 nightpager front brakes

can someone confirm that you have to swap the calipers L and R?!

at the moment i have the left caliper on the left hand side of the car, placing the bleed nipple on the bottom, this is bad for bleeding.

if i swap the calipers left to right, it places the nipple on the top.

has anyone done this?! and id assume its safe but i dont want to make a mistake?!

    Eldar,

If the bleed nipples are on the bottom of the caliper it won't be able to bleed any air out.

The calipers in their normal orientation will have them on top.

The reason the Left and Rights don't match anymore is becuase the side at which the caliper is mounted. (See my l337 paint skills)

So to get the bleed back on top just swap them left to right.

    Just do i mate..
There is no other physical difference other than the nipple location and the nipple has to be ontop.. if you dont do it you wont be able to use the brakes

The Skyline calipers are not 'left' or right', they are just 'right' and 'wrong'
Bleed nipple up the top is 'right'
Bleed nipple at the bottom is 'wrong'

so the massive fuck-off L and R embossed onto the calipers are a product of my fucking imagination?

thanks for making such a simple question turn into a big drawn out ordeal, how many of the people that replied actually have this brake setup installed?! i count 1.

    thanks Chris.

well obviously it does, but when brakes are concerned i want to be absolutely sure of everything i do, before i do it.

hence the first line of the thread reading "can someone CONFIRM"

    sigh.

thing is - these calipers when on a skyline are in the leading position, however supra brakes are trailing - hense why they gotta be switched
