my mate Mike (blizzard) has tried to become a forum member and cant access anything but PM's ATM...

does he need to do anything before getting access or is there just a wait..

Can he browse the forums? If so, he may need to click the link on the confirmation email. Sometimes this email is deleted by junk filters and the forum wont let you do much more then browse forums and send pm's until you verify your email.

I'll check pending activations and do them this evening.

If he's filled in the details correctly then he will get an acceptance email, and he follows the prompts. If he's not entered things correctly he'll get a rejection email and have to re-apply - this time with the proper mandatory details.

That is...

first name
surname
house/flat number and sstreet name
suburb
post/zip code
contact number


We need this 'cos of our forums run classified adds with money and goods being exchanged.

If he gets no email at all (either accepted or rejected) then the email has been filtered out and he needs to speak to his work or provider to fix that.
