    Default microtech digi1+ w/4age help.

i was bored this arvo and decided to install the old digi1+ i have into the vermin. i know they are old and crude, but will allow me to tune and run my quads reasonbly enough.

anyways i wired it all up following the digi1 wiring diagram and following my 4age ecu diagram. got it to read the TPS, water temp etc. though i dont think it's getting the igintion pulse.
the car will fire and run for about 3 seconds and die. as if it's not getting any fuel from the injectors, just the initial squirt from the CSI (i still have this hooked up and run from stock ecu), which is enough to let it fire. (well that's what i think is going on).

now when i hook the injector wires back up to the stock ecu and start the car i see the ignition pulse led on the digi is not on or flashing, this leads me to beleive it's not getting it's signal, which might be why the injectors are firing when hooked up to the digi??
i have the white wire from the digi to the - of the coil as it says in the diagram, pink to the +.
though my 4age wiring diagram shows the tach signal coming from the ignitor not the coil? but the wiring diagram colours is different to that of my ignitor.
is the RPM signal for the tacho (that would be ignition pulse right?) on the 4age from the - of the coil or from the ignitor?

any help from someone who has been through this would be great.

on my gz20 the ignitor driver under the coil had a 3 pin plug, i connected a tacho to the negative wire off that and it had rpm pulse...

    hope that helps..

    thanks for your reply.

i'm back at the shed (took laptop back with me). i found a problem in the digi's loom, the - off the coil does give a igniton pulse afterall.

though i've found that to get all 4 injectors to fire i had to run them of 1 bank (output 1) from the digi?. the digi and stock injector wiring looks almost identical, but the digi only seems to be running the injectors from output 1? the digi wiring does mention something about depending on the ohms of the injectors depends on how many injectors per bank. i've clean forgotten what ohmage these injectors are.

it idles smooth and revs prity clean too. though i still do have a miss, it's had a slight miss for ages even on the stock ecu. i just havnt been able to find out what the cause is yet. seems more apparent once warmed up.

i'll tidy up my wiring and solder and cover a few joints tomorow and see how it drives through-out the rev range.

i'll have to see if i can find the wiring diagram for the digi ignition box now, seeing it is timing tuneable too.....
