Compressor outlet (see attached). I want it to point near enough to straight down, but it fouls on the slave.

Just spent 25 minutes at repco looking up all the various slave cylinders in catalogues etc but they had NONE of the ones I wanted to see... and the books with pictures/diagrams of the slave cylinders are listed by part number (?!?) not make/model so they're as good as useless.

Assuming I can link to a PNG document, this is an ST215 Caldina slave:

Why is it fouling on your setup and doesnt on an ST185?
    Just bigger tarbo/different manifold?

    Edit: ST205

Measure the boltspacing on the slave and the bore size. i still reckon W58 (MA61) will fit

    1) I'm using a Camry box/slave cylinder
    2) I want to rotate the compressor housing so that the outlet points downward (factory it points straight up at the bonnet.

MA61 is upside down, mounting tabs need to be at the other side.

Ah, if the mounting tabs need to be on the other side then RA23/28 with the 18RG is your friend, let me scrounge up a pic

Thats JDM AE86, and the TA22 is like it but lower profile.

Also can you over rotate the comp housing so it points more towards the rad, and then weld in a 90* bend or isnt there enough room on the AE82

I've also looked up various Livin models on that side, none of them have a cylinder that will suit.

I'll have to take mine off and go to a clutch shop... if that fails I'll either fit a grub screw to the bleeder point or cut it off and weld it up then fit a bleeder at the end of the line.

I woudlnt have thought it would be very different to this:

MWP seems to have enough room there.

Better view here, but minus turbo:

And this is what i mean by over rotating it and adding a 90* bend:

I don't see the point in unnecessarily modifying shit... if I can get another slave that bolts straight up and solves all my problems then I'd be crazy not to do that.

Have another look at this image, and picture the camera moving across a little to the driver's side of the car so that you are looking straight down on it. As you can see the slave bleeder is EXACTLY where the compressor outlet goes (remembering which way the scroll goes - if it spun the other way it would be fine).

    http://www.toymods.net/forums/attach...5&d=1253247149

    The options are:

    1. Fit very sharp 90 degree silicone bend to compressor outlet (not ideal)
    2. Cut/weld/etc compressor outlet to suit application (last resort)
    3. Just get a different slave cylinder and all of my problems are solved for next to nothing (ideal)

Yeah, for sure, im just trying to figure out why you are having issues and yet stacks of GT4 owners are able to clock the turbo with very little effort. I assume its because you dont have as much room between the radiator and the turbo.

Here is a picture of an ST215 turbo, as you can see the front is really big for an OE turbo... if you can picture that housing on there

Here is a pic of my actual engine, you can sorta see it in perspective

Ah, bigger turbo, didnt realise that, i thought from your thread on PF it was still stock ST185 turbo.

    Makes more sense now.
