Correct, they're very different things even if they have the same goal. One is harmless if used sparingly, the other melts turbine wheels.

Pretty sure thats how the launch control works on the FG XR6 Turbo. I thought rally cars just cut spark and dumped raw fuel in to keep them spooled up.

Usually, there's a pipe to inject air into the exhaust manifold, this combined with the raw fuel coming through the engine after no spark ignites due to the heat in the manifold.

Yeh, just raw fuel style anti lag was what i was talking about. Well it also pulls timing to get the exhaust temps right up, which gets it to ignite.
