    Default 2TZ SC14 pulley onto 1G SC14

    A funny thing popped into my head the other day. I was wondering if it was possible to swap the 2TZ SC14 supercharger pulley over onto the 1G SC14 unit? This would net a 10mm smaller diameter pulley in theory allowing a gain in boost. The only problem with not just using the 2TZ unit in the first place is the change in mounting. All this on a 4AGZE with a BLITZ 165mm crank pulley might give some good gains??

    Judging by the flood of responses to this it seems that noone has tried this before?

    I can confirm that the 2TZ SC14 clutch can be fitted to the 1G SC14 supercharger. You have to swap over the full clutch assembly as well as the hub this is mounted to on the front of the SC but there does not seem to be any problems in doing this.

    Case closed.

    Actually thanks for bringing that up.

    After reading through this;
    http://www.members.westnet.com.au/adsport/sc14fit/
    it states that the 1G pulley had to have two extra ribs machined into the front of it to line up the belt. The beauty of the 2TZ pulley is that it already has 7 ribs on it so all you need to do is use the first 5 ribs and they already line up with the 4AGZE crank pulley so no machining required.
