Part 1 of 2
My video from the event nothing special I guess it will be good for posterity. Especially about RA28, RA23, TA22 just bear with me and I'll put the subtitles to the car chassis code or the many things I got wrong about them. Let me know what I got wrong please.
BTW the 74 crown driver I am very sorry in advance.
This video was made for an American forum and a few of em wanted to know a little about our Magna.

It's fairly simple there are some that don't quite fit this description though.
First Gen Celica's with a slant blinkers/parkerlights at the front (sorta looks like an over bit or big bottom jaw) are generally TA22's or RA21's but you wont see many RA21's in Aus so its fairly safe to call it a TA22.
First Gen Celica's with the straight parkers in a coupe config are RA23's or TA23's. Personally without going into detail its hard to tell the difference from the outside between a RA and TA 23.
In liftback form they can be several model codes TA28's RA25's or RA28's. Again you would be fairly safe in calling it a RA28 in Australia. Just be warned i dont know how much river would like his 25 being called a 28. RA28's can quickly be identified by the same bonnet buldge and vents as RA23's
Hope it helps clear it up abit.

Hi,
It's happened many times. Not so much the past few years... since the car has been on these forums, so people know what it is. But, before that, I'd get dudes asking me how I customised the rear lights, or bonnet and bonnet flutes. Most ppl thought it was a highly customised RA28.

Well a huge thanks to everyone that turned out!!!!
Sorry for the late reply but I have only just gotten the net at my house after moving. Twas hard getting this organised without it!!
I must say the turn out blew me away, there didn't seem to be much hype and with christmas and the tin tops I was only expecting 45 or so cars so to get to the 70 mark was insane.
For those that didn't go we had 60 ish cars rock up at the meeting spot in Silverwater with 10 Newy cars meeting us at the final meeting spot near palm beach. So with the couple gained at Northead 70 ish was about the total.
We couldn't of asked for a better day, the weather was great the wildlife at manly was looking great and all the car where looking awsome.
I first of must say a huge thanks to PETEH and Dave for missing the cruise and going straight to the meet point to cook up the BBQ. Without there help I don't think the day would of been such a sucess.
Also thanks to all that took pics, I love taking pics at Toymods events but with being so busy I just don't get the time.
Was great to meet up some old faces and meet so new ones.
I'm glad and stocked that everyone that came had a great day and will be back!!!
Keep an eye out for Cruises in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!
