No, arseraped is when you're built a tailshaft that is meant to be strong enough and it snaps and wrecks your car or you.

Just make sure the tubing is not from India

No, I think that would be more of a proper fucking rather than an arse raping. but hey.. ;-)

It's apparently V8 super car style chrome moly tubing.

I guess the fact that it's used on V8 stupidcars could be concern enough hey? heh.

Dropped into Knox Driveshafts (Jeff that I mentioned earlier) on Sunday so that he could build my tailshaft during the week, he called me Monday lunchtime to tell me it's done.

New Hardy Spicer unis, new .065 wall 3" Chome Moly tubing, new flange to suit Hilux diff, my current yoke on front, all balanced, and $240 in total. There are no corners cut, and only top quality products used.

Fuck paying in excess of $700 for the same thing, and other shops make you remove the diff flange so that they can match the tailshaft flange to it , which Jeff does not... He knows his shit inside out and plainly asked what size bolts it uses to bolt the tailshaft on. If they're 6mm bolts it's the earlier flange, and 8mm (which mine runs) the later flange.

This guys service is second to none, and his work is quality. I cannot recommend this guy enough.

did it pretty much on the spot for me, shortened and balanced good for about $100. not bad considering i was quoted 165 just to balance a shaft at a certain place off mcintyre rd :\

Told him what Gearbox, told him what Diff (careful with Hilux diffs as RN2# and RN4# are 2 different PCDs), gave him the measurement from the diff flange to gearbox seal, and he did the rest.
