Recommended TailShaft makers in Melbourne

I've put my specs into Hardy Spicer and after a week they still haven't even quoted me yet.

So I'm looking around for option 2 in tailshaft pursuits.

Anyone used anyone in melbourne successfully before?

What did it set you back Jeremy?

I have a number for a guy named Jeff (03) 9758 4015, tell him what diff, what gearbox, length from gearbox seal to diff flange and he'll supply the parts and make it for about $250. (From the info I was given by somebody else)

Are you looking to use existing yokes that you already have Strad, or all new components?

If you do get an all-new shaft made up for $250, then i'd be concerned that it was made of a cardboard postage tube & pvc wood glue

I'd be questioning the quality of the unis and tubing used at that price too.

Hah. Yes, it's no $250 shaft that's for sure...

Multiply that by about 3.5

All 1350 series unis with fully chrome moly shaft.

That sounds about right What diameter tube are they using?

dunno yet, I'll find out tomorrow. it sounds like it should handle about 500rwkw on slicks.. So it'll certainly do me.

Feel like I'm being arseraped though, but I guess it'll hold up well.
