SDMA Hillclimb - Sun 15/11/09

Hi All,

The SDMA Hillclimb is on again on Sunday 15th Nov - last for the year. Any of the Toymods crowd competing?

I'll be there in the RX7.

Racing gets underway about 9:30am and goes through to around 3 - 4:00pm.

Spectators are most welcome - costs nothing but your time.

Doh! The shame of it all, going to be beaten by a Corolla for the second month in a row...

Please do bring the footage, I'm dying to see it. I'll have to remember to pack a blank DVD in the helmet bag...

If you do forget I'll have to make the trek over - and I'll bring the 7 and make lots of irritating noise.

Don't worry about the replacement DVD, I've got a ton of blank ones and never get around to using them so it's all good.

I will have to do the footage tonight or tomorrow night anyway as I'm heading to the track on Friday and will need the camera cleared for that

Nope, ran a string of mid 50's just to add to the frustration... Its like an invisible barrier!

Damn it was a hot day too, thank god Shano brought a marquee for shade, it was like heaven after the mobile sauna that was our full length clothing and closed face helmet in the cars. Very jealous of the porsches, Evo's, WRX's etc sitting comfy in the staging line with aircon

Congrats to Shane and Phil on their class wins. And thanks Shane for bringing those vids along - still trying to find a player that will work with them but I'll get it sorted.

It was definitely a hot day out there. I have working aircon - but also have an exhaust leak at the manifold so winding up the windows and putting on the aircon is a good way to have a very long sleep...

Still got a way to go to chase Shane down - but getting closer, a new pb of 51.38. Hopefully an LSD will be going in in the near future so I might be able to get a little bit more traction and have a better chance of chasing the Rolla down. Might even have to rip out my aircon to lighten the car up.

I always had to convert it to another format to play it on my laptop.

My new camera isn't HD and works straight off the camera so there won't be any issues with playback in the future.

Cheated and just uploaded them to YouTube - thanks heaps for them Shane. Though I'm a tad concerned now - didn't realise there was so much weed blowing out the exhaust...

That's all I wanted to see as I haven't even watched them properly myself.

I've watched my runs on the TV though straight off the camera before I sent it back.
