    To conclude this thread - I have put in an ma61 diff with LSD centre with RT142 Manual gears ie. ratio around 3.5:1.

    Put simply - it was a straight swap - took about half hour to drop my old one and put in this one. The car feels heaps tighter in the rear, and because of it being good condition the noises and bumps are gone.

    My speedo is out by about 4-7 kmph, depending on the speed I'm travelling. (my previous diff ratio was 3.7:1 ie. auto rt142 corona.

    And, the lower ratio is very very very sweet for my cruising from Brisbane out to the Western downs.
