i THINK they are called deutsches connectors/plugs.
Does anyone what type of plug is that is used on the Haltech E6X??? What are they called??
is it something specific to Haltechs or used for other things too?

I know they use GM pins.

Haltech e6x direct fire/sequential
ae-86 (levin) footwork
TE-71 w/1uzfe
Autronics SM4
And whatever you use, make sure you keep the spacer piece in there - our FSAE car ran an E6X and was having terrible ignition/fueling problems (1 and 4 were running rich, 2 and 3 were running lean) and it was a bitch to start, on the way down to the '05 event our faculty supervisor (who was also our tow-er) took the car to Haltech, and the conversation went somewhere along the lines of this:
*hands over computer for testing on benchmark
"Ooh, that's a nifty thing you've got there, a little spacer to stop the pins shorting out on each other"
"You mean this? That's standard on all our plugs, you should have got one when we gave you the loom"
"Nope, never had it"
One 10c piece of plastic later, and all our problems were solved.

Yeah, AMP connector. Unknown part number, its a custom made thing afaik. Even me going to an AMP supplier with the connector resulted in nothing.

well at least i can get new pins. gotta redo the harness cos whoever done it before made huge cock ups cos almost every wire has at least 5 solder joints along the way. i plan to have zero
now if Haltech would reply to my email confirming i will take the pins i will happily hand over the money... but they dont wanna reply so obviously they got enough money already![]()

I found Haltech were pretty average when it comes to emailing them, much better if you just ring them. They were pretty awesome when i did that.
When i was having ECU issues (shorting out on the inside of the casing) they sent me a full ECU in swap until they could figure out the issue. Good service in my eyes.
Just a pity that there arnt as many Haltech tuners down here. Is Pete still tuning up there, last time i was in Fyshwick i thought the workshop might have closed.

Digging around google for the last hour I've found that Haltech used a "Packard 1211 0490"
If you search that you only get back to haltech documents
Packard connectors brings up Delphi Packard, a merger of two companies??
So I looked up Delphi 36 way connector and it pointed me at Harley Davidsons.......

Seems that Delphi did some handy work on the twin cam HD efi gear, don't get excited, when they say twin cam I think they mean sohcx2.
Looks the same to me, go look under the seat of a late model harley and tell me if it's the same plug or not, looks same to me
Good luck!!
Apologies for bringing Harley pictures tot he forum, I hope that it can be excused in this instance![]()
The spanner in my avatar is actually a 16mm, that's why it's still new
haltech should be able to supply you a plug and the pins.
I get all my bits and pieces through their wetherill park branch NSW
