Camry blowing copious amounts of smoke

Hey all, got a run about not long back, its 98 camry V6, all of a sudden one day, it started blowing heaps of smoke on start up, at first all will say valve stem seals, but i cant pin it down.

i havent been able to work out why yet.

if i get to work and leave it for 3 hours and go to the shops, it can blow BULLSHIT amounts, or none, or if i leave it 6/9/12/24 hours it sometime will and sometimes wont

I was of the impression that VSS were either fucked or not, this car seems to be like a tempermantal little fucking kid with ADD, like it just wants some attention.

any ideas??

what oil you running in it??
and how long since the last oil change

cant remember the brand, was a basic name-brand, valvoline i am thinking, 20-50

has been a bit, but not AGES, probably 5000k overdue

as a suggestion by some wynns oil flush and some penrite hpr30 see if that helps and use either a genuine filter or ryco filter.

could be something silly like an oil surge problem.

LOL its a camry you'd have to leave the keys in it and a full tank of fuel LOL
