you don't have something stuck in the inlet do you.. like shoving a rag in the intake when you were washing the car/engine etc?

    airfilter is clean etc?

Have you looked at the exhaust side?
Perhaps your catylitic converter has crumbled into dust and jammed itself in the muffler.
That would explain the lack of power and the lack of boost.

Remove the cat and go for a quick drive.
Odds are you'll see the cat is screwed when you remove it, but it never hurts to be sure =)

the air filter is clean....also tried running it without filter too.
Ill check for anything stuck in the piping but there shouldnt be anything cause ive been driving it for quite a while before it happend.
Will also check the cat and exhaust when i have time.
Thanks guys..was running out of things to check.

didnt read whole thread, so dont throw rocks at me if this has been said.
maybe its an obstruction in the exhaust somewhere, collapsed cat, squashed to buggery pipe?
maybe pull exhaust off before the cat and see wat it does, other than make a shit load of noise

if it hard a huge restriction in the exhaust it would run like a dog in general wouldnt it? ie startup etc.

Probably not, but it'd depend how big the restriction was. If it's say 60% blocked it'd have no problems idling, but would definitely struggle up top. If it's more like 90% blocked, it'd probably have problems idling.
But realisticly, it'd depend a bit on the cams too.
A big overlap cam would be a lot more noticable than a stock cam.

Yeah it seems bizarre tho the he is not seeing any boost at all on the guage thats taken i presume off the intake manifold.

My cars running with stock cams, idles like a dream.
Spoke to a few friends and they seem to think it shouldnt be the cat blocked. cause it still free revs in neutral. but will still try removing exhaust anyway.

Free revving in neutral moves bugger all air.

Think about it. In neutral you can hit redline with like 20% throttle.

Well if the inlet isnt blocked or leaking, the exhaust isnt blocked, then the only remaining explaination is that the turbo is screwed.

Dont ask me how, but either the exhaust or compressor turbine fins are bent or broken.
It's the only explaination that fits.

Have you had any backfires lately?

goddam, i would have put money on the rooted cat... mate's TX3 had same problem and that was what was wrong...

my guess would be turbo... farked if i know how but if everything else is ok that looks like your only option...

Unless its a computer problem... what sort of engine management are you running??

    Good luck dude..
