ok so i finally got my gze running but now i have realised that stupidly i dont think i put the distributor back in on TDC
does anyone know where it should be sitting at tDC as it would really help!!

line up the actual dimples, not the press pin or whatever it is
Ok kool so I line then up and have the engine on TDC n then slot it in and it should be all good?

afaik you need to line up the timing mark on thew crank to tdc, the dimples on the cams to tdc, and the dizzy. The cam appreaing under the oilcap should also have a notch facing upwards. I think that's all that there is to it. Cuzzo explained it to me when we were setting the timing on my 4A-GZE, but I may have forgotten something along the way.
There should be guides online for confirmation
The "pointy" bit on the rotor in the CAS should be pointing almost straight down IIRC too.
