Default RN41 front disc conversion from drums

does anyone know if anyone knows how to convert from drum to disc on the front.. i have tried to find a Rn41 with front discs to get the stub axles but can't find anything..

can you make brackets like to do for the rears to bolt on the calipers??

    Thanks

with the way the drum brake backing plates are you'd have to get brackets made from the very base of the stub axle. there are enough of the disk brake rn41s kickin around, i'd strongly suggest finding one of them and from there you can bolt up the late 4 piston landcruiser or hilux calipers and the peugeot rotors.

i've tried most of the wreckers around here but they have nothing.. i even rang toyota to see if i could order some from them but the guy said they were N/A. i don't see myself ringing every wreckers in the country to find them.

cus the rn41's use the ball joints that both face down could you get other stub axles off another hilux that doesn't use that ball joint on the bottom but also use the lower control arm as well

then you'll be mucking around trying to get the right length lower control arm, no doubt they would've changed over time, and that's only if the later ones run the same spacing between bolts and bolt size where they bolt to the crossmember. from what i've read 40 series hiaces have the same disk brakes and spindles as the 40 series hilux, but like the hiluxes drums up front are more common

Sorry I couldn't help you before. When you find the RN41 spindles measure the length of the stub axle and ask the guys that made my hubs, whether they'll fit if your still thinking of doing that upgrade.

Sorry to dig up an old thread. Can anyone tell me which peugeot rotors this conversion uses? I have some 60 series cruiser calipers to go onto my RN41

    Thanks
