Did anything ever eventuate from this?
Hey guys, wanting to know if anybody has done a full 5 stud conversion onto a 1988 AW11 MR2 using all the ST205 GT4 bits. I've read where people have redrilled rotors and have had them machined to fit, but I want a setup where I can buy rotors straight off the shelf and have as little margin for error as possible in any modification (car is going to be built for track work, while keeping rego).
Cheers

The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

Joshstix has done a 5 nut conversion to his car, not too sure on all the details, but I know it was a real bitch of a job.
is there any particular reason why you want it done?
the hubs need to get engineered just the same as redrilled rotors do so I fail to see where the benefit is if that's all you are chasing.
redrilled rotors are perfectly acceptable.
Found a better way to get some beefy brakes on there which should all be directly bolt-on (apart from needing a hub ring machined up).
ST184 calipers and ZZE123 rotors should be the way to go for front brakes. It's not a HUGE increase in rotor or caliper size, but combined with a couple more bits (stainless lines, bigger MC, etc) should make for a nice little upgrade.

If you want to use the ST205 bits, the rotors will still need machining down in diamter to fit.
ST204 parts are bigger than ST184 as well, plus the twin spot calipers on the GTT caldina will also fit onto the ST204 rotor.
