The "best" upgrade depends on a lot of factors... What will you be using the car for and what is your budget? These are probably the most important questions...
For instance i'm in the process of puting RT132 rear discs and AE86 vented fronts on my car. I went the 86 fronts as it will be easier to upgrade again in the future with a wide range of alloy 4spot options. But its not as cheep an initial upgrade as some.
(cheap but good) just street got a ca18det in it

check out my build for an option but i guess i would not consider this cheap
the final weight of the uprade is exactly the same as the original setup
unlike the corona/pug/hilux upgrade that ends up weighing more than original
