any transverse 4age can be converted, just take the wiring and ecu with it. If it's a good running motor, just put it all in.

Look in the conversion guides section as Witzl's got a guide to changing your water piping for 16vs. If you go 20v, search for SamQs posts as he's got extensive experience with these.

You'll have to adapt the loom as the layout obviously won't be the right length and positioning for a RWD layout.

There are 1001 guides and partial guides to these conversions on here and other ae86/4age/twincam forums and websites.

I can't believe there isn't a rusty Corolla GT-S donor car somewhere in the states.

Take your time, and find a RWD donor, you will never regret it. This way you will have your conversion completely done in a weekend and it will run exactly as it is meant to.

Anything else means trying to source obscure parts, compromise and a less satisfactory result.

Do it right and you are set.

The reason we arse about with transverse mount donor conversions is because we did not have locally delivered rear wheel drive models. Everything has to come in via import wreckers. In the US you have the exact model you are attempting to convert to at you disposal - if you are patient.
