I'm concerned about how far my results have varied to some of these. I measured up an ST141, KE36, RA40 and KE70 at the wreckers and got 8.9 for KE70 and 8.7 for RA40. I put the inclinometer on the face of the brake disc (not the hub mounting face) first then onto the strut keeping it parallel to get my results. Confused how it could be so different.
Remember there is slop in the bearings and also slight differences from strut to strut.
0.2deg isnt much at all, its where you get differences like 13deg for the MX83 to 10deg for the MA61 that you have to be worried.

great thread, ill have to go and get a meter also and measure what ive got hear.
* 84 FJ60 - 37's, 308, 80 series coils/diffs and LS1TT in the makin
* 73 KE26 - x4 Brown Wagz
* 73 KE20 NOW 3T-TE
* 84 KE70 Panno
* MX83 LS1 Track Car
Wow, only just finding this thread now
I don't think I saw RA65 in here, I'll try and grab that at some stage
My suggestion would be to keep a running table in the first post with the data you and other have collected?
Cheers

this thread is a great idea, so this is what we have so far:
RA40: 7.6 or 8.4 degrees
KE70: 8.4
RA28: 8.4
TA22: 8.4
XT130: 8.7
MA61: 10.6
MX83: 13.1
I would think the RA40 is the same as the ke70 and others at 8.4 degrees, I can't see why it would be less
Yeah, RA40 is the same as RA28, ive got a pair of each.
AE86 is the same again, have some of those too.

I wonder if we should measure the angle between the mounting face of the steering arm and the vertical tube of the strut. Possibly steering arms too? These also alter the scrub radius of the tyre and the amount of grip the car will have.
Has anyone made any measurements for KE30 or RA60?
thread mining !!
so been playing suspensions again and got my self some ra40 struts to replace the r/ga60 struts (dont know if ga or ra)
the r/ga60 struts gave me 1-2degree positive camber on ae86 control arms (in ae86) so i got longer control arms get around it (long time ago)
so i expected the kpi to be out added with the steering knuckle offset.
got my self a inclinomonimanimeter to see the difference.
they tested the same !! ??
ra40
r/ga60
ive checked like a million times and will check a few more.
so i guess the camber issue for me are all in the knuckle ? i just didnt think the offset would make that much difference. (2 degrees + )
the arms r/ga60
and ra40 hubs vs r/ga60 hubs, incase people want different disk offset.
if you care enough ill get measurements
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
That offset will be enough to make the difference. Have similar with KP Starlet arms between early and late model, with less than 10mm offset adding up to 1 degree difference in camber.

cheers callum,
yeh i hope so, ill get it all together and see what the align tool says.
