    Default 3s gte help!

Hi I was just wondering if anyone out there could help me, I have a stock Gen 4 3s and I am wanting to fit an aftermarket exhaust manifold and turbo. My question being will a Gen 3 performance manifold fit? I know the gen 4 standard manifold is not backwards compatible but i havent read the reason why?

Yes it will. You will need to buy another stud to fit into the head as the gen 3 uses one more stud but there is a tapped hole in the head already there for you to use.

Gen 3 on top, Gen 4 on bottom. See the extra bolt hole in the left side on for the gen 3 one.

Series 1 Gen IVs don't have the extra hole. Series 2 Gen IVs do have the extra hole (From factory.)
A number of the S1 Gen IVs have been upgraded to the extra hole already.
Ones that have not, generally get a warped/cracked exhaust manifold (over time), and then either get the new hole or an aftermarket mani.
