Default Carbon canister purging tech info needed

    Hi,
Can anyone please explain the operating strategy of the solenoid valve between the carbon cannister and vehicles inlet system (4agze) , and where on the manifold is this purge 'pipe' is routed? i.e. is it before the throttle (atmospheric pressure) or to the inlet manifold so it would potentially see vacuum and boost (depending on when the solenoid was operating of course)

    Thanks & Regards, Nick

This is more Toyota generic than 4AGZE specific, but will more than likely give you an idea of how the different Toyota variations work.

If you are planning to change how this system operates, make sure you don't vent it at idle, you'll get a really rich mixture, worse on hot days!
